2 issues. The first is the mechanism chews up the DAT tape when it tries to load. The second issue is the volume control needs to be replaced with a suitable volume control. Exact match not necessary but it would be best to have it the same size and shape as the recording level control to the right. 2 of the chassis screws are missing. Would it be possible to replace these if you have them? I can send a blank DAT with the repair, but don't try and load it until you have spotted the issue as to why it is chewing up the tapes. Nothing visually wrong with it externally but will upload a photo. The photo was taken before the volume control got lost.
