Hi Michael, I'm sorry to hear that – I wasn't aware of any problems. I think it unlikely the tweeter itself is damaged, the problem is probably in the crossover circuit. You'd probably need someone with an electronics background to test it. If they're still around, an old-fashioned TV repair firm might be your best shot.
