System is flashing "check" which manual suggested maybe static electrical or noise interference and to remove power cable and reinsert (no joy with that attempted solution). It then suggests contacting a Pioneer Authorised Service Centre. The model is over 20 years old (purchased in January 2000), really owes me nothing, has been a solid workhorse over the years frequently used. It would be missed if forced to scrap (it was working fine recording until yesterday when the message appeared), suspect that if cd drive burner required replacement that obtaining parts might be an issue. Any ideas? Depending on cost to repair would determine whether to repair or bite the bullet (shoot it) and try to source a replacement (suspect nobody uses them anymore). Thank you.
