The cable that runs through the headband into the right earpiece was bitten in half by a mouse about 1-2 cm after it exited the headband. I took it to a local repair shop to get fixed and they did not do a satisfactory job in the repair, the soldering job wasn't very neat and they used hot glue to try to tack the wire back in place rather than doing a proper heat shrink cover or an entire wire replacement. I would be happy if you could just do a proper soldering job but if you could replace the entire wire from the right earpiece through the headband and back into the left earpiece where the audio input is that would be even better.
