I plugged in the charger and heard a small electrical bang. The laptop continued to work as normal ( I could turn it on or off and back on again but it said plugged in and not charging in Windows – even though it may not have been plugged in).
The original cable was damaged and I should not have used it.Once the battery ran out, I cannot charge it and so I can not turn it on anymore.
