Hard drive has stopped working, computer fails to read drive, faint beeping noise coming from drive on fire up suggesting actuator arm is stuck on platter/ disc and cannot return to zero in order to read disc. Hard drive has not been tampered with.
Looking for a cost on two forms of repair.
1. Rehousing of platter/disc into new hard drive case.
2. Re positioning/ resetting of actuator arm within original case.Open to suggestions and stories of past experience or tried and tested techniques you have had success with in past.
