Ranger 305D intermittent stick Welding Issues. K2279-1 11189 (1600 Hrs approx ). Symptoms: During Stick Welding initially or after an hour the welding will stop. Like cold arc symptoms. The Aux 400/240/110 Vac outlets are always available. The AMPS display will drop to a value between 20 and 35 Amps. AMPS selector will only vary the selection between these values. Voltage display will be blank. Rebooting the machine has no effect. The following actions carried out with nil Fix :
1. Troubling carried out per operator Manual.
2. No Loose connections.
3. Shunt on the Pos Terminal checked ok.
4. Shut wiring checked ok back to the weld PCB.
5. Shut/wiring Resistance at the Weld PCB Board connector P6-J6 measures approx 1 Ohm.
6. All other connections appear to be clean and intact. AMPS selector (Potentiometer ) appears to be ok. Smooth resistance change through full sweep.
7. Welding Leads swapped out. Nil fix.
8. Metron Welding Services Dublin where this machine was purchased has suggested replacing the weld PCB Board P/N : G4107-1E5, This PCB Board itself has no evidence of arcing or damage. Please take a look at this PCB board and advise if you confirm faulty and repair it.
