I have some Roland SR-JV80 expansion boards for a Roland JV-2080, a popular synth from the 1990s. Unfortunately, in 2017 Roland issued a press release saying that these expansion boards should no longer be used because of degradation of the original capacitors causing a fire risk. I have seen a few videos about recapping (e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9n5eU-EWbyE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ta-lIsG2da4) but I do not feel competent to do this repair myself.
