I have a Western Digital DL4100 MyCloud NAS, the enclosure has stopped working, no longer booting up.
At present when attempting to turn the device on I am met with a blinking blue power light, nothing on the LCD screen. After about 3-4 minutes, the device reboots and does it again on a endless loop.
I have troubleshooted the issue, Preforming both the 4-second, and 40-second reset procedure recommended by western digital, but with no joy. No response at all.
I suspected my board is shot as on further examination I found that a components on the board may be the culprit.I have pictures of where I believe the damaged area to be (near the IO ports on the rear side of the Ethernet port) as there is a slight burnt smell and some brown residue around some components.
Is this something that you can help me with? If so can you provide me cost estimate of diagnosis and repair?
