Dropped on tile floor, hit corner, cracked glass both locally and across. Display itself seems okay, but touch is messed up, and the cracks are sharp. Aluminum case seems fine. thin plastic frame around screen seems fine. Aside from the crack and the problems with touch, everything seems operational. (Aside from myself: my kids tell me I'm in a terrible mood because my lovely new phone is broken.)
It would appear that the LCD digitizer needs to be replaced. I'm pricing that module online at roughly €25 including little plastic tools. But I'm a computer science lecturer and my students call me "death to hardware" so I'm thinking I should find someone else to do the delicate work of taking the intricate gizmo apart and putting it back together. And you folks are the experts.
